If you can counter the big blue Reality Modification with rational and real-life arguments and counter-narratives against sex denialism, and fake biology and history, you stand a far better chance (as a parent) of decreasing the descent down the rabbit hole. Ground them in reality as a foundation that will undermine what their peer group (& grooming adults) will tell them about, for example, “being non binary”, or “born in the wrong body”. Given time and constant reinforcements, such concepts can be upended if the culture around them carries the same messages. Make it uncool and gross, not edgy and attractive.
