The Swedish study of death records (Cecelia Djehne, et al, Karolinska Inst, 2011) found that females who had undergone testosterone prescriptons and/or sex trait modification surgeries were more than 40 times more likely to die by their own hands. This was a study of Swedish death records, with age and location matched "non-trans cohort, comparing Swedes who died in statistically significant numbers. For the males, the rate of death by suicide was "only" 19 times higher. The "affirmative" treatments of the "trans" subjects occurred 1973-2003. This means that by 2010/11, some of the patients were already deceased after treatment as late as 2003. Finnish study (Kaltiala, et al, 2023) found that records of Finns who had done the hormones/sex trait modification surgeries were many times more likely to have been referred to inpatient psych ward stays than age matched "non-trans" Finns. The above research groups were not at all "transphobic" but were in fact practitioners who had treated patients "affirmatively."
