The only solution I can think of to end this slide into oblivion and chaos is to dismantle industry, give everyone a few acres, some farm tools and seeds, and we all go back to subsistence farming. Everyone will be too busy trying to survive to have time for this garbage. I do believe it's our supply of food, water and shelter that has led to so many going down this road.

So back to communism then ;-) and the State can be replaced by Family, something quite appealing about that but in all seriousness, isn't it interesting that those basic human needs (food, water & shelter) are at the very foot of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, which somehow mirrors my own draft pyramid model of the cult https://dentonyogacarter.substack.com/p/transing-the-young-part-40 Teenage Screen-life also never featured in Maslow's theory. That one really blows everything apart

No communism. Just guarantee the basics to get started growing one's own food and building your own shelter the same way we guarantee and "give" everyone a K-12 education on the theory that if they choose to avail themselves, they will gain the basic skills necessary to support themselves i our economy. But there's something about those that live closer to the bottom of Maslow's hierarchy. I actually know 2 brothers, parents were hippies, that grew up in the mountains of Montana completely off-grid, without electricity and water hauled in. They wouldn't have had time to contemplate the filth put out by Big Trans. Perhaps as part of middle or high school, a 6-month stint in the wilderness learning to hunt, build shelter and dig a well. Of course, this is all fantasy, but maybe we can come up with a realistic plan for this type of education.

Mr. Lube is far less scary than it sounds! It’s where you get your car’s oil changed and other auto maintenance. 🤣🤣🤣 Nothing like what you may have been thinking.

Thanks, I did wonder :-D there's one overriding use of that word here in the UK

That’s probably the overriding modern use here as well, but auto-related is also understood. I think that’s actually a Canadian company but as an American I instantly understood what it was and didn’t give it a second thought until I read your comment. We have many similarly named auto service businesses.

Interesting. When I was divorcing my crossdressing (now ex) husband, mourning the loss of our intact family, trying to keep my traumatized sons from falling apart and utterly exhausted from working 3 jobs, I tried as hard as I could not to cry. Occasionally I found myself unable to keep the tears under control and I cried silently, wiping my tears before they spilled down my cheeks. I learned to tell people I was having allergies.

yes my spectrum of crying is very diverse - from silent, moist-eyed crying to full-blown blubbery snotty wailing sobs. Still wouldn't film any of it tho and put it on social media

Me neither. I will not yell, I will not cry and I will not allow them to pollute my mouth and mind. Keep on keeping on, man!
