Here's a story that reads like satire, but isn't. Dr. Alex Laungani, "one of those" surgeons, openly states there "isn't enough room" between the prostate and the rectum to insert the tissue tubes he routinely inserts, falsely naming them "vagina." He surmises there's just no other option but surgery.

I tried to read that poem from the tavistock and nearly chucked my phone across the room. The line about the little girl cutting her hair and not fitting in with neither sex did me in. I insisted on cutting my hair short ‘like a boy’ between the ages of 4 and 12. Refused to wear anything feminine. It made me a little quirky, but it didn’t alienate me from my peers and I had wonderful friendships with boys and girls at primary school. My secondary years were sadly more rocky (moved to a new area) and I grew my hair out but cut it off after leaving and never looked back. Pains me that grown adults would use such experiences as justification for maiming a child. Then write a sodding poem about it.
